What is Yerba Mate?

Yerba mate is an herbal brew made from the leaves and twigs of the Ilex paraguariensis plant.

Yerba mate is known by many different names, erva mate, maté, herba mate, caá mate, chimarão… names keep going but the base stays the same – Ilex paraguariensis known as Paraguayan Holly. Drought of this plant is giving a kick of energy to south American Indian tribes for many centuries and now it starts to become more popular in Europe! They are drinking it for centuries and we just started!

Ok, so exactly what does it do?

Probably you are asking yourself a question, why should I drink Yerba Mate? I have so many other choices. What are the fabulous cons of drinking it, that everybody are talking about? Well….

  • it stimulates central nervous system
  • makes you more relaxed and chilled but….
  • gives a kick to your body and brain in the same time
  • in a natural way helps to liquidate fatigue and tiredness symptoms (young mothers! think about it! )
  • increases body’s natural immunity (very important these times… #covidcrap)
  • rich source of vitamins ( A, B1, B2, C.. etc. ) and microelements (iron, potassium, magnesium, sodium, calcium and many others)
  • reduces appetite, if you combine it with energy boost you will find a perfect way for loosing few kilograms
  • does wonders for your skin because it’s full of antioxidants
  • lowers sugar and bad cholesterol level

To sum everything up. Yerba mate is stronger than caffeine, it relaxes your body and boosts mind. Researches are being done on its anti-bacterial, anti-parastic and anti- fungal properties. But most important is that it’s FUN!!
