Mate vessel made from Palo Santo wood, also known as the Evergreen Tree or Sacred Stem.
Palo Santo is wood from the Guaiacum officinal tree, which grows only in the coastal regions of Central and South America.
This is the most valued wooden container to serve yerba mate, mainly because of its pleasant, resin
like aroma which remains in the container throughout the serving of mate.
Natural product – color may vary slightly. A unique ergonomic round elongated shape resembling the shape of an egg. Made from one piece of wood.
Warning: Wood can crack with changes in humidity and temperature. This is a natural feature of the material that may or may not appear and must be taken into account.
To minimize the risk of cracking, it is worth greasing the walls with fat (olive or coconut oil) and letting the container stand for about 24 hours.
Wipe off the residue with a cloth or paper towel. Repeat the whole process 2-3 times.
Palo santo matero may contain minor imperfections such as scratches or bumps.
